In Balance With: Dr. Roshini Raj [Q&A]

In addition to being the founder of TULA, Dr. Roshini Raj (DRR) is a board certified gastroenterologist and internist. She is also a Today Show contributor, the Dr. Oz Show core expert, the Good Day NY Medical Correspondent (Fox5), and the Medical Editor of Health Magazine.

Dr. Raj inspires us everyday by successfully juggling her career as a doctor, entrepreneur, and media personality. Even with all this, she's still able to be a supermom to her two boys!

She knows that balance is the key to doing it all. TULA is her true labor of love as she devoted her career to helping women lead healthier and more balanced lives.

Responses from found of TULA

I find balance in...

DRR: Listening to music. I just recently rediscovered "Malaguena" by Ernesto Lecuona and it's my go-to song to decompress these days.

In the morning I like to...

DRR:Eat breakfast with my boys. They are 8 and 6 and growing way too fast!
Beauty obsession of the moment¦ treStique shadow crayon. It's super blend-able with a crease free, smooth finish.

One piece of health advice you would give to your younger self?

DRR: Sleep more, especially because I did not get a lot of sleep during my residency years.

What makes you crack up with laughter?

DRR: Watching the reruns of "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

Healthy habit you'd like to adopt?

DRR: I really want to get into the habit of drinking the recommended 6-8 glasses of water every day!

Your guilty pleasure...

DRR: Chocolate mousse!

What was the last song you sang in the shower?

DRR: "Theme from Mahagony" by Diana Ross.

I like to work up a sweat by

DRR: Dancing with my girlfriends! My friends and I go for regular girls nights out. It reenergizes your skin, gives you a necessary mental break, and reduces your stress.

My super power is

DRR: My positive attitude. Being raised as a Buddhist has really helped me cope with the challenges of life and focus on the positive in each situation.

Cause closest to your heart?

DRR: Sakhi: helping women affected by domestic violence.

Netflix What? Chill with who?

DRR: Any PBS British mystery series. Chill with my husband - who hates those shows but begrudgingly watches them with me.
