What are probiotics?

A breakthrough in skincare innovation, probiotic extracts are powerful ingredients that can help improve skin’s natural balance, nourish skin to improve hydration & smoothness, & soothe skin to calm the look of irritation when applied topically. They’re great for helping your skin get back to its happy state—consider them the ultimate skin superfood.

Probiotics are found in the foods we love & the probiotic extracts we use in our skincare— for example, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Lactobacillus & Bifidus Ferment Lysate—are derived from these same species. From day 1, we’ve always formulated 100% of your TULA skincare products with probiotic extracts.

We do not use live cultures in any of our skincare formulas—& never have. Since all of our skincare products contain probiotic extracts designed for use in skincare, they don’t require refrigeration. Our probiotic extracts & all of our formulas are clinically tested for efficacy.

The scientific research and understanding about this field continues to grow and evolve each year. Our founder Dr. Roshini Raj is a practicing gastroenterologist so she’s our expert & at TULA we always strive to continue to learn & innovate over time and to take you along in the journey with us. What is the S6Pro Complex™?

The S6Pro Complex™ is TULA’s new, proprietary blend of 3 powerful strains of probiotic extracts & 3 prebiotics derived from root vegetables—including chicory, beet & turmeric root. Clinically tested, this complex has all the probiotic extract skincare benefits you already know & love like improving skin’s natural balance PLUS more: strengthens the skin barrier, increases firmness & protects from moisture loss. Look for S6Pro Complex™ in our new products starting in 2021.

Do we use live probiotic cultures? Why or why not?

Great question! In our skincare, we do not use live cultures as it’s basically impossible for them to stay alive through the skincare manufacturing process & survive on the skin, so it is unlikely they can deliver the intended benefits as a result. The good news is, we don’t need live cultures to have a beneficial effect on the skin. The probiotic extracts we use in our formulas are designed for safe use in topical skincare & have been clinically proven to restore skin’s natural radiance, improve hydration & smoothness, & calm the look of irritation. Plus, this means you don’t have to refrigerate your TULA skincare products!

In our supplements & ingestible products, we do use live cultures as studies have shown that live cultures are safe, can survive all the way through the manufacturing process and to the gut’s acidic environment & have a beneficial effect.

Do we have to refrigerate the products since they contain probiotics? Why or why not?

You do not have to refrigerate any of our products. When it comes to our ingestibles, we are using live cultures that are capable of surviving in the supplement & gummy form, from the manufacturing process all the way to your gut.

As with all ingestibles, there is a period of effectiveness so please make sure to use them by their expiration date.

Our skincare products contain probiotic extracts which do not require refrigeration since they do not contain live cultures.

How do we ensure the efficacy & quality of our probiotics?

We work with experienced bioscience laboratories to ensure we are bringing our consumers clean, clinically effective ingredient-driven skincare.

We are highly-selective when it comes to sourcing our ingredients & we only work with manufacturing partners who have stringent quality controls & a strong level of expertise in this field.

Plus, it helps that our founder Dr. Roshini Raj is a practicing gastroenterologist!

Is TULA Skincare clean?

Why choose between skincare that’s good for you and skincare that works? We formulate with ingredients that are healthy for your skin- probiotic extracts, superfoods + powerful skincare actives that work.

Our approach to clean formulation is simple: We look to research & clinical studies to determine which ingredients we do & don’t include in our products.

We do not formulate with ingredients which have been clinically shown to be toxic, carcinogenic, harsh allergens or irritants that compromise the health of your skin. Our approach is based in science & 100% transparent - you can search on TULA.com by ingredient preferences and always see the full ingredient listing on each product page.

We also do not test on animals & are certified cruelty-free.

Is TULA Skincare cruelty free?

We never have & never will test on animals. We’re proud to be certified cruelty-free by the People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Will TULA work for my teenager?

We carefully select the best ingredients for our products to be gentle on your skin. However, with children & young teens, we recommend visiting a dermatologist first. 

We always include the full list of ingredients on every product page, so you can consult your doctor & they can consider them for you.

Can I use TULA if I’m pregnant or nursing?

Many of our customers have enjoyed using TULA products through pregnancy & while nursing, but because everyone's experience can be quite different, visiting your doctor for a personal recommendation is the best course of action. 

We always include the full list of ingredients on every product page, so you can consult your doctor & they can consider them for you.

I’m not sure what type of skin I have - can you help?

Oily? Sensitive? Dry? Not sure what your skin type is? We got you.

In what order should I use my products?

We’re here to keep it simple. A general rule of thumb is:

What if I have really sensitive skin?

We got you! Although many of our products are suitable for all skin types, we know how hard it can be to find products that are effective & do not irritate your skin.

Keeping this in mind, we developed products specifically for our glow getters who have sensitive skin. Our so gentle duo is a cleanser/moisturizer combo for sensitive skin. 

Developed to feed your skin the good stuff (probiotic extracts, colloidal oatmeal, cucumber & ginger) & none of that other stuff (formulated without alcohol, fragrance, sulfates), it keeps skin feeling calm, cool & collected. Oh, & it’s hypoallergenic and vegan!

How are TULA’s products tested?

Our ingredients and product formulas are tested by third party, independent laboratories to ensure they are safe, effective, and potent. We take our science seriously, and the results are real.

Will my product(s) melt/dry/freeze/expire?

Great question!

As part of our testing & development, we ensure all formulas remain efficacious in various temperatures & weather conditions.

This ensures that no matter what your package endures on its way to you, it arrives safe, sound & ready to use.

Each of our products will have a number followed by the letter ‘M’ printed on the component. This represents the number of months we suggest you use the product by after opening. 💙

Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to orders after they are placed, including editing the contents of an order, changing the shipping address, or cancelling it entirely.

What payment methods do you accept?

TULA.com accepts all major credit cards, Afterpay, Apple Pay, PayPal & TULA e-gift cards. 

Psst, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay & PayPal will default to shipping to the address associated with that account, so be sure to double check your details before placing the order!

How can I use Afterpay for my TULA order?

Afterpay will appear as a payment option if your order is over $35.00 & does not contain items for auto-delivery.

To use Afterpay, select the ‘installments by Afterpay’ option at the payments page of the checkout flow. At checkout, you will be billed 1/4th of your order’s total, & will be billed every two weeks until all four payments have been processed.

We offer TULA e-gift cards ranging in value from $25-$200. Simply purchase the gift card for the amount of your choosing & place your order. 

Shortly after we receive your order, you will receive an email with your unique code & redemption instructions. If you’re gifting this to someone else, just share the code with them! 

To redeem your gift card, simply enter the code provided to you in the promo code box at checkout. Once you add the code you will see the balance deducted from your order’s total.

Does TULA ship to Canada?

How can I edit my shipping address?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to make edits to shipping addresses once the order is confirmed. 

If your order is returned to us for any reason, we’ll make sure it finds its way to you. 💙

When will my order ship?

TULA.com shipping options:

  • USPS Standard Shipping (3-6 business days): $7.00 - free with orders $40.00+!
  • UPS Expedited Shipping (2-5 business days): $10.00
  • UPS Overnight Shipping (1 business day): $25.00

*all orders are subject to a 3-5 day processing period after being confirmed. 

**Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska & Puerto Rico may experience longer delivery times.

I’m having an issue tracking my order!

Having trouble following your order’s journey?

We’ll send you tracking information as soon as it’s available. From there, the status is updated by the carrier as it makes its way to you!

If your tracking number isn’t being updated or does not appear to be working at all, please get in touch with our support team at help@tula.com.

My tracking says my order was delivered, but I have not received the package.

We’re so sorry to hear about this & want to get your products in your hands asap!

We believe this to be the result of the USPS incorrectly marking packages as delivered based on the GPS of the truck’s route. Several other TULA customers have experienced similar issues & received their items in the following days.

Returns

What is your return policy?

We stand behind our products & want you to love them as much as we do. That’s why we have a free returns policy. 

If for any reason you aren’t satisfied with your products, we will happily accept your return & issue a refund within 60 calendar days of the fulfillment date.* No hard feelings.

*In response to COVID-19, we've temporarily extended our return window to 60 days to allow additional time for you to safely return your items to our team.

How long does it take to process a return?

Our seamless self-return process takes between 7-14 days, start to finish. 

Returns take roughly 5 business days to travel to the return location, & 3-4 business days processing time. 

Once your return has been processed, you will receive an email confirming a refund has been processed. Refunds typically take 2-3 business days to post back in your account.

I’m having trouble initiating a return.

Make sure to double-check you’re entering the email associated with your order & order ID correctly.

You sure can! We gladly accept returns without original packaging.

What should I do if I received the wrong product?

Firstly, we’re sorry to hear about this. We want to make sure you get the products you ordered ASAP.

How do I return a purchase from a TULA retail partner?

If you purchased through a TULA authorized retailer, process the return directly with the retailer according to their return policy.

TULA Skincare is the only seller authorized to sell TULA products on Amazon. TULA does not offer refunds or credit on products purchased from any unauthorized dealers on Amazon. If you did purchase on Amazon from TULA Skincare, please return via your orders on Amazon.

If you purchase from any Amazon seller other than TULA, there is a chance the product might be counterfeit, and we can not guarantee its quality, safety, or effectiveness.

Tell me about the auto-delivery program.

Auto-delivery = skincare on your schedule! Our auto-delivery program is the most convenient way for you to get the products you want delivered to you on a regular schedule. We automatically send your favorite products based upon your chosen frequency. The service is easy to use and customizable, so you can make changes online whenever you need. Just tell us how often you want your products at checkout, and we'll take it from there. You will receive 15% off all TULA auto-delivery items and free shipping!

You always have complete control over your orders and we send an email reminder 10 days before each order ships. You can change your delivery frequency, next order date, or quantity anytime by visiting ‘My Auto-deliveries’ section located within your account. Changes to orders can be made any time before the next scheduled shipment date and you can cancel at any time.

How can I edit my auto-delivery?

Can’t wait ‘til your next shipment for more TULA? We know the feeling.

Once you’ve joined, your auto-deliveries are easy to manage. You can change your next order date, skip an order, change your selected frequency, pause or cancel a TULA auto-delivery order by visiting the ‘Auto-Deliveries’ section in your TULA account. You'll also be able to swap products for upcoming orders, too!  

Please allow up to 24 hours for modifications or cancellations to be processed & reflected in your account.

How do I update my credit card for auto-deliveries?

Need to update your payment information? No problem! Simply login to your TULA account to view your auto-deliveries, and select 'Edit' under the 'Billing' section. This will open up a new page where you'll be prompted to send an email to your inbox so that you can securely update your payment information. 

When you get the email, click the 'Confirm Payment Information' button to enter your new payment information. Once you enter your new information select 'Update Card' & verify that your information saved successfully. This billing information will apply to all of your TULA auto-delivery items & future orders.
